أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أنبأ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا الْحَجَّاجُ بْنُ مِنْهَالٍ، ثنا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ الْمَاجِشُونِ بْنِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي رَافِعٍ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي صَلَاتِهِ قَالَ: وَإِذَا فَرَغَ مِنْ صَلَاتِهِ فَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " اللهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي مَا قَدِمْتُ، وَمَا أَخَّرْتُ، وَمَا أَسْرَرْتُ، وَمَا أَعْلَنْتُ، وَمَا أَسْرَفْتُ، وَمَا أَنْتَ أَعْلَمُ بِهِ مِنِّي أَنْتَ الْمُقَدِّمُ وَأَنْتَ الْمُؤَخِّرُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ " وَرَوَاهُ يُوسُفُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ الْمَاجِشُونِ بِإِسْنَادِهِ وَذَكَرَ هَذَا الدُّعَاءَ بَيْنَ التَّشَهُّدِ وَالتَّسْلِيمِ، وَكِلَاهُمَا مُخَرَّجٌ فِي كِتَابِ مُسْلِمٍ.
(a) It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that when he (peace and blessings be upon him) finished the prayer, he would say: 'Allahummaghfir li ma qaddamtu wa ma akhkhartu wa ma asrartu wa ma a'lantu wa ma asraftu wa ma anta a'lamu bihi minni, antal-muqaddimu wa antal-mu'akhkhiru, la ilaha illa ant' (O Allah, forgive me all my sins, former and latter, hidden and open, and the excess I committed, which You know better than I do. You are the One who brings forward and the One who puts back; there is no god but You).
(b) Yusuf bin Ya'qub narrated this hadith with his chain from his father, and he mentioned this supplication between the tashahhud and the salam. Both of these narrations are also in Sahih Muslim.
