أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أنبأ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْفَقِيهُ، أنبأ أَبُو عَمْرٍو أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ الْمُسْتَمْلِيُّ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ، ثنا شَرِيكٌ، عَنْ أَشْعَثَ بْنِ سُلَيْمٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ الْأَسَدِيِّ قَالَ: " صَلَّيْتُ إِلَى جَنْبِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ خَلْفَ الْإِمَامِ فَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقْرَأُ فِي الظُّهْرِ وَالْعَصْرِ " وَمِنْهُمْ مُعَاذُ بْنُ جَبَلٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ.
It is narrated from Abdullah bin Ziyad al-Asadi: I prayed beside Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) behind the imam, and I heard him reciting in Zuhr and Asr. Among them is Sayyiduna Mu'adh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him).
