It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When one of you finishes his prayer, let him supplicate to Allah concerning four things, and after that let him ask for whatever he wishes. Let him supplicate thus: 'Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min 'adhabi jahannama, wa 'adhabil-qabri, wa fitnatil-mahya wal-mamati, wa fitnatil-masihid-dajjal' (O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the punishment of Hell and the punishment of the grave, and I seek refuge in You from the trials of life and death and from the trial of the False Messiah (al-Masih al-Dajjal).)"
