أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُوسَى بْنِ الْفَضْلِ، أنبأ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الصَّفَّارُ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ، أنبأ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْبِرْتِيُّ الْقَاضِي، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ الْفَضْلُ بْنُ دُكَيْنٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عِصَامُ بْنُ قُدَامَةَ الْبَجَلِيُّ، ثنا مَالِكُ بْنُ نُمَيْرٍ الْخُزَاعِيُّ، مِنْ أَهْلِ الْبَصْرَةِ أَنَّ أَبَاهُ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّهُ " رَأَى رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَاعِدًا فِي الصَّلَاةِ وَاضِعًا ذِرَاعَهُ الْيُمْنَى عَلَى فَخِذِهِ الْيُمْنَى رَافِعًا إِصْبَعَهُ السَّبَابَةَ قَدْ أَحْنَاهَا شَيْئًا وَهُوَ يَدْعُو ".
Malik bin Numayr al-Khuza'i (may Allah have mercy on him) said that his father (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated to him that he saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) sitting in the prayer; he (peace and blessings be upon him) had placed his right forearm on his right thigh and raised his index finger, and he had bent it slightly, while he was supplicating.
