أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ التَّاجِرُ، بِالرِّيِّ أنبأ أَبُو حَاتِمٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِيسَى، أنبأ إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ إِذَا قَالَ: سَمِعَ اللهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ قَالَ: " اللهُمَّ رَبَّنَا وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ، اللهُمَّ بِحَوْلِكَ وَقُوَّتِكَ أَقُومُ وَأَقْعُدُ ".
It is reported from Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that when he said 'Sami'allahu liman hamidah', he would also recite: 'Allahumma rabbana lakal-hamd, Allahumma bi-hawlika wa quwwatika aqumu wa aq'ud' (O Allah, our Lord, all praise belongs to You. O Allah, by Your might and strength I stand and I sit).
