وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ السُّوسِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ الْأَصَمُّ، ثنا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ مَزْيَدٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبِي، أنا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَامِرٍ، حَدَّثَنِي نَافِعٌ، " أَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ كَانَ يَعْرُكُ عَارِضَيْهِ، وَيُشَبِّكُ لِحْيَتَهُ بِأَصَابِعِهِ أَحْيَانًا وَيَتْرُكُ ". هَكَذَا قَالَ.
Nafi' (may Allah have mercy on him) narrated that Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) would rub and wash his cheeks thoroughly; sometimes he would run his fingers through his beard and sometimes he would leave it. This is how the narrator related it.
