أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ بِشْرَانَ الْعَدْلُ، بِبَغْدَادَ أنبأ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ الرَّزَّازُ، ثنا حَنْبَلُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، ثنا قَبِيصَةُ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ جَعْفَرٍ أَبِي عَلِيٍّ بَيَّاعِ الْأَنْمَاطِ، عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: " أَمَرَنِي رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ أُنَادِيَ: لَا صَلَاةَ إِلَّا بِقِرَاءَةِ فَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ فَمَا زَادَ ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered me to announce: "There is no prayer without the recitation of Surah al-Fatihah, though more than that may be recited."
