أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ بْنُ بِشْرَانَ، بِبَغْدَادَ، أنبأ إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الصَّفَّارُ، ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عَفَّانَ، ثنا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقُولُ: " وَلَدُ الْمُدَبَّرَةِ بِمَنْزِلَتِهَا، يَعْتِقُونَ بِعِتْقِهَا، وَيُرَقُّونَ بِرِقِّهَا. ..
Nafi' narrates from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he used to say: The children of a mudabbarah have their mother's status; the children become free through their mother's freedom and remain slaves through her slavery.
