Abu al-Zubayr narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man of his people freed his slave as a mudabbar, so the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "Do you have anything else?" He said: No. Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "Who will buy him from me?" Nu'aym bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) bought him for 800 dirhams. Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) returned the price to him and said: "Spend on yourself; if anything is left over, then on your family; if anything is still left over, then on your near relatives; and the rest wherever your heart wishes."
