Bayhaqi 21533 — The mudabbar may be sold whenever his owner wishes

Amr bin Dinar (may Allah have mercy on him) said: I heard Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) say: A man freed his slave as a mudabbar (to be free after his death), and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) sent for him, then sold him. Jabir (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: That slave died in the very first year.
