Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I said: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! You send us out, and if we come to a people and they do not show us hospitality, what is your view about that? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If you come to a people and they host you as befits a guest, then accept it; and if they do not do so, you may take the guest's due right (from them)."
