أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو أَحْمَدَ الْحَافِظُ، أنبأ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ الْوَاسِطِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، ثنا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى، ثنا هِشَامُ بْنُ حَسَّانَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، فِي قِصَّةِ اللِّعَانِ قَالَ: فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " أَبْصِرُوهَا، فَإِنْ جَاءَتْ بِهِ أَبْيَضَ سَبِطًا قَضِيءَ الْعَيْنَيْنِ فَهُوَ لِهِلَالِ بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ، وَإِنْ جَاءَتْ بِهِ أَكْحَلَ جَعْدًا حَمْشَ السَّاقَيْنِ فَهُوَ لِشَرِيكِ بْنِ سَحْمَاءَ "، قَالَ: فَأُنْبِئْتُ أَنَّهَا جَاءَتْ بِهِ أَكْحَلَ جَعْدًا حَمْشَ السَّاقَيْنِ. رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُثَنًّى.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him), in the story of li'an (mutual imprecation), that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Keep watch on her: if she gives birth to a child that is fair, straight-haired and with inflamed eyes, then he belongs to Hilal bin Umayyah; and if she gives birth to a child with dark (kohl-like) eyes, curly hair and thin shins, then he belongs to Sharik bin Sahma'." He said: Then I was told that she gave birth to a child with dark eyes, curly hair and thin shins.
