أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، ثنا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثنا أَبُو عَمْرٍو الْمُسْتَمْلِي، ثنا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، ثنا ابْنُ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ مُصْعَبِ بْنِ شَيْبَةَ، عَنْ مُسَافِعِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا فِي قِصَّةِ احْتِلَامِ الْمَرْأَةِ، قَالَتْ: فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " وَهَلْ يَكُونُ الشَّبَهُ إِلَّا مِنْ قِبَلِ ذَلِكَ؟ إِذَا عَلَا مَاؤُهَا مَاءَ الرَّجُلِ أَشَبَهَ الْوَلَدُ أَخْوَالَهُ، وَإِذَا عَلَا مَاءُ الرَّجُلِ مَاءَهَا أَشْبَهَ الْوَلَدُ أَعْمَامَهُ ". رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ مِنْ حَدِيثِ يَحْيَى بْنِ زَكَرِيَّا بْنِ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ.
It is narrated from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her), regarding the story of a woman's wet dream, that she said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "And does resemblance come from anything other than that? When her water prevails over the man's water, the child resembles his maternal uncles, and when the man's water prevails over her water, the child resembles his paternal uncles."
