Bayhaqi 21175 — Jesting does not cause testimony to be rejected unless
أَخْبَرَنَاهُ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السُّلَمِيُّ، أَنْبَأَ أَبُو الْحَسَنِ الْكَارِزِيُّ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ عُلَيَّةَ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ يَرْفَعُهُ قَالَ أَبُو عُبَيْدٍ: قَوْلُهُ الدُّعَابَةُ يَعْنِي: الْمُزَاحَ.
Abu Ubayd (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Du'abah" means joking (light-heartedness).
