Bayhaqi 21167 — Jesting does not cause testimony to be rejected unless

Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Umm Sulaym (may Allah be pleased with her) had a son who was called Abu Umayr. When he came to him (peace and blessings be upon him), he (peace and blessings be upon him) would joke with him. One day he came and he (peace and blessings be upon him) joked with him, but he was sad. He (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "O Abu Umayr, I see you sad." The Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) said: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), his little bird with which he used to play has died. He (peace and blessings be upon him) kept saying: "O Abu Umayr, what did your little bird do?"
