أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ فُورَكٍ، أنبأ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، ثنا يُونُسُ بْنُ حَبِيبٍ، ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، ثنا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَنَسٌ، قَالَ: كَانَ فَزَعٌ بِالْمَدِينَةِ، فَرَكِبَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَرَسًا لِأَبِي طَلْحَةَ يُقَالُ لَهُ: مَنْدُوبٌ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِنْ كَانَ مِنْ فَزِعٍ، وَإِنْ وَجَدْنَاهُ لَبَحْرًا " أَخْرَجَهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ وَمُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ مِنْ حَدِيثِ شُعْبَةَ.
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Once there was a state of alarm in Madinah, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) rode the horse of Abu Talhah (may Allah be pleased with him), which was called Mandub. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "At the time of alarm, we found it to be a sea."
