أَخْبَرَنَا الْأُسْتَاذُ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ فُورَكٍ، أنبأ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، ثنا يُونُسُ بْنُ حَبِيبٍ، ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، ثنا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ مَعْبَدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ، عَنْ حَارِثَةَ بْنِ وَهْبٍ، سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: " أَلَا أَدُلُّكُمْ عَلَى أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ؟ كُلُّ ضَعِيفٍ مُتَضَعِّفٍ، لَوْ أَقْسَمَ عَلَى اللهِ لَأَبَرَّهُ "، وَقَالَ: " أَهْلُ النَّارِ كُلُّ جَوَّاظٍ عُتُلٍّ مُسْتَكْبِرٍ ". أَخْرَجَهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ، وَمُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ مِنْ حَدِيثِ شُعْبَةَ.
Sayyiduna Harithah bin Wahb (may Allah be pleased with him) said that he heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "Shall I not tell you about the people of Paradise?" Then he said: "Every weak person who is looked down upon; if he were to swear by Allah, Allah would fulfil his oath." And he said: "The people of Hell are every ill-tempered, arrogant one who struts proudly."
