Imam al-Sha'bi (may Allah have mercy on him) said: A man was killed, so Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) brought fifty men of the accused into al-Hijr, and they swore: We did not kill him, nor do we know who killed him.
(b) Ata' bin Abi Rabah (may Allah have mercy on him) said that a man said to his wife several times: Go wherever you wish. So Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) made him swear between the Corner (al-Rukn) and the Station of Ibrahim, (asking): Tell me, what did you intend?
Both of these are mursal, and each supports the other in what they share: moving the oath to the Sacred Mosque.
