أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو حَازِمٍ الْحَافِظُ، أنبأ أَبُو الْفَضْلِ بْنُ خِمَيْرَوَيْهِ، أنبأ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ نَجْدَةَ، ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، ثنا هُشَيْمٌ، أنبأ يُونُسُ، عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ، قَالَ: كَانَ شُرَيْحٌ يُجِيزُ شَهَادَةَ الشَّاهِدِ الْوَاحِدِ إِذَا عَرَفَهُ مَعَ يَمِينِ الطَّالِبِ فِي الشَّيْءِ الْيَسِيرِ ".
Ibn Sirin (may Allah have mercy on him) said that Qadi Shurayh (may Allah have mercy on him), when he knew the witness, used to accept the testimony of a single witness along with the oath of the claimant in a small matter.
