وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الرُّوذْبَارِيُّ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ دَاسَةَ ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ خَالِدِ بْنِ مَوْهَبٍ وَقُتَيْبَةُ أَنَّ اللَّيْثَ حَدَّثَهُمْ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ وَأَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " إِذَا اشْتَدَّ الْحَرُّ فَأَبْرِدُوا عَنِ الصَّلَاةِ " قَالَ ابْنُ مَوْهَبٍ: بِالصَّلَاةِ فَإِنَّ شِدَّةَ الْحَرِّ مِنْ فَيْحِ جَهَنَّمَ رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ، عَنْ قُتَيْبَةَ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ.
Abu Salamah (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When the heat is severe, cool off the prayer (that is, delay it) (they transmitted the words 'an al-salah, whereas Ibn Mawhab transmitted the words bi al-salah), for the intensity of the heat comes from the breath of Hell."
