أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عَبْدَانَ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ الضَّبِّيُّ، ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الشَّامِيُّ، ثنا بَقِيَّةُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ الْأَلْهَانِيُّ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عُتْبَةَ الْخَوْلَانِيَّ يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: " التَّائِبُ مِنَ الذَّنْبِ كَمَنْ لَا ذَنْبَ لَهُ ".
Muhammad bin Ziyad al-Alhani (may Allah have mercy on him) says: I heard Abu Utbah al-Khawlani (may Allah be pleased with him) say: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "The one who repents from sin is just like one who has not sinned at all."
