Bayhaqi 20231 — The dislike of leadership, and the dislike of taking

Ayyub narrates from Abu Qilabah (may Allah have mercy on him) that the example of a judge is like that of a man swimming in the sea: how long will he keep swimming before he drowns? Abu Qilabah (may Allah have mercy on him) was summoned for the office of judge, but he fled.
