Bayhaqi 20171 — The virtue of one who is tested with an office

Hajjaj bin Artah states that Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: A judge's day in which he is granted (the ability to reach) justice and truth is more beloved to me than a year of campaigning, or a hundred days.
Al-Hajjaj bin Artah attributed it to Ibn Mas'ud with a broken (munqati') chain; it is only narrated from Masruq.
