Ibrahim bin Abd al-Aziz bin Abd al-Malik bin Abi Mahdhurah (may Allah have mercy on him) said: I found my father and my grandfather giving this same adhan that I give and saying this same iqamah, and they used to say that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) taught this to Abu Mahdhurah (may Allah be pleased with him). He mentioned the adhan, then said: And the iqamah once each: 'Allahu akbar, Allahu akbar, ashhadu an la ilaha illallah, ashhadu anna Muhammadan rasulullah, hayya 'ala al-salah, hayya 'ala al-falah, qad qamat al-salah, qad qamat al-salah, Allahu akbar, Allahu akbar, la ilaha illallah' (Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest, I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, come to prayer, come to success, the prayer has been established, the prayer has been established, Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest, there is no god but Allah).
