Hisham bin Zayd said: I heard Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) say: We startled (a rabbit) at a place called Marr al-Zahran, and the people became exhausted running (after it). I brought it to Sayyiduna Abu Talhah (may Allah be pleased with him), who slaughtered it and sent its haunches and thighs to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) accepted them. (b) Affan narrates from Shu'bah, and in it is: I asked: "Did he (peace and blessings be upon him) eat it?" He said: He (peace and blessings be upon him) accepted it.
