Abd al-Muhaymin bin Abbas bin Sahl bin Sa'd al-Sa'idi said: My father narrated from my grandfather, who narrated from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), that he (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade "killing five things: the ant, the honeybee, the frog, the shrike (surad) and the hoopoe."
Abd al-Muhaymin bin Abbas is alone in narrating it, and he is da'if (weak); the hadith of Ubaydullah bin Abdullah from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) is the strongest that has come in this chapter.
