أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ ثنا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الْحَافِظُ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْهِلَالِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ الْعَدَنِيُّ ثنا الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ مَعْنٍ الْمَسْعُودِيُّ عَنْ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ مَوْلَى أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، قَالَتْ: " عَلَّمَنِي رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ أَقُولَ عِنْدَ أَذَانِ الْمَغْرِبِ: اللهُمَّ هَذَا إِقْبَالُ لَيْلِكَ وَإِدْبَارُ نَهَارِكَ وَأَصْوَاتُ دُعَاتِكَ فَاغْفِرْ لِي " كَذَا فِي كِتَابِي وَقَالَ غَيْرُهُ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مَعْنٍ قَالَ: ثنا الْمَسْعُودِيُّ وَرَوَاهُ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ وَزَادَ فِيهِ: وَحُضُورُ صَلَاتِكَ.
It is narrated from Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) taught me: "At the time of the Maghrib adhan, say:
'Allahumma inna hadha iqbalu laylika wa idbaru naharika wa aswatu du'atika faghfir li' (O Allah, indeed this is the coming of Your night, the departure of Your day and the voices of Your callers, so forgive me)."
