Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said: "A cow is for seven and a camel is for seven."
(b) The narration of Ata from Jabir states that a camel is for seven, and these imams agree on the same from Abu al-Zubayr from Jabir; so the narration of Ata from Jabir that a camel is for seven is more sound than the narration of al-Thawri from Abu al-Zubayr from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that a camel is for ten.
(c) It has been narrated to us from Ali, Hudhayfah, Abu Mas'ud al-Ansari and Aishah (may Allah be pleased with them) that they said: A cow is for seven.
