Bayhaqi 19227 — Feeding the distressed poor, the one who does not beg

Al-Hasan (may Allah have mercy on him) says regarding this saying of Allah Almighty, "al-qani' and al-mu'tarr" [Surah al-Hajj: 36]: Al-qani' is the one who humbly asks a man for his need, and al-mu'tarr is the one who presents himself but does not ask.
