باب: قول المضحي: اللهم منك وإليك فتقبل مني، وقول المضحي عن غيره: اللهم تقبل من فلان
Chapter: The one sacrificing saying: "O Allah, from You and to You, so accept it from me," and one sacrificing for another saying: "O Allah, accept it from so-and-so"

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْأَرْدَسْتَانِيُّ، أنبأ أَبُو نَصْرٍ الْعِرَاقِيُّ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو بَكْرٍ الزُّبَيْدِيُّ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ شَرِيبٍ، قَالَ: أُتِيَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ يَوْمَ النَّحْرِ بِكَبْشٍ فَذَبَحَهُ وَقَالَ: بِسْمِ اللهِ، اللهُمَّ مِنْكَ وَلَكَ وَمِنْ مُحَمَّدٍ لَكَ. ثُمَّ أَمَرَ بِهِ فَتَصَدَّقَ بِهِ، ثُمَّ أُتِيَ بِكَبْشٍ آخَرَ فَذَبَحَهُ فَقَالَ: بِسْمِ اللهِ، اللهُمَّ مِنْكَ وَلَكَ، وَمِنْ عَلِيٍّ لَكَ. قَالَ: ثُمَّ قَالَ: ائْتِنِي بِطَابِقٍ مِنْهُ وَتَصَدَّقْ بِسَائِرِهِ.
Asim bin Sharib said: On the day of sacrifice a ram was brought to Sayyiduna Ali bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him), and he slaughtered it, saying: 'Bismillah, Allahumma minka wa laka wa min Muhammadin laka' (In the name of Allah; O Allah, it is from You and for You, and from Muhammad to You). Then he gave an order concerning it, and it was given in charity. Then another ram was brought, and he slaughtered it, saying: 'Bismillah, Allahumma minka wa laka wa min Aliyyin laka' (In the name of Allah; O Allah, it is from You and for You, and from Ali to You). Then he said: Bring me a portion of it, and give the rest in charity.
