وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، وَأَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرٍو قَالَا: ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مَرْزُوقٍ، ثنا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ، ثنا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ كُلَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ جُهَيْنَةَ أَوْ مُزَيْنَةَ أَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَبْلَ الْأَضْحَى بِيَوْمٍ أَوْ يَوْمَيْنِ، فَكَانُوا يُعْطُونَ الشَّاتَيْنِ بِالثَّنِيَّةِ، فقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " الْجَذَعَةُ تُجْزِي مِمَّا تُجْزِي مِنْهُ الثَّنِيَّةُ ".
Asim bin Kulayb narrates from his father, and he from a man (may Allah be pleased with him) of the tribe of Juhaynah or Muzaynah, that they were with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) a day or two before the sacrifice, and they used to give two goats in exchange for one musinnah. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The jadha'ah, i.e. of sheep, suffices in place of a musinnah animal."
