Bayhaqi 19068 — A jadha (young animal) suffices only from sheep

Asim bin Kulayb narrates from his father that the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) were with Sayyiduna Mujashi' al-Sulami (may Allah be pleased with him) when the sacrificial animals ran short, and a man from the Companions of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) stood up and said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "A jadha'ah of sheep will suffice in place of a musinnah."
