أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الرُّوذْبَارِيُّ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ دَاسَةَ ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ثنا هَارُونُ بْنُ مَعْرُوفٍ ثنا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، أَنَّ أَبَا عُشَّانَةَ الْمَعَافِرِيَّ، حَدَّثَهُ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: " يَعْجَبُ رَبُّكَ مِنْ رَاعِي غَنَمٍ فِي رَأْسِ شَظِيَّةٍ لِلْجَبَلِ يُؤَذِّنُ لِلصَّلَاةِ وَيُصَلِّي فَيَقُولُ اللهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: انْظُرُوا إِلَى عَبْدِي هَذَا يُؤَذِّنُ وَيُقِيمُ لِلصَّلَاةِ يَخَافُ مِنِّي قَدْ غَفَرْتُ لِعَبْدِي وَأَدْخَلْتُهُ جَنَّتِي ".
It is narrated from Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Your Lord marvels at a shepherd of goats on a high mountain peak who gives the adhan for the prayer and prays. Then Allah Almighty says: 'Look at this servant of Mine; he gives the adhan and the iqamah for the prayer, fearing Me. I have forgiven My servant and admitted him into Paradise.'"
