وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ الْمِهْرَجَانِيُّ، أنبأ أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الْمُزَكِّي، ثنا ⦗٤١٨⦘ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، ثنا ابْنُ بُكَيْرٍ، ثنا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ: رَمَيْتُ طَائِرَيْنِ بِحَجَرٍ. قَالَ: فَأَصَبْتُهُمَا، فَأَمَّا أَحَدُهُمَا فَمَاتَ فَطَرَحَهُ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، وَأَمَّا الْآخَرُ فَذَهَبَ عَبْدُ اللهِ يُذَكِّيهِ بِقَدُومٍ فَمَاتَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُذَكِّيَهُ فَطَرَحَهُ أَيْضًا.
Malik narrates from Nafi' (may Allah have mercy on him), who said: I struck two birds with a stone and got them both. One of them died, and Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) threw it away; the other also died before it could be slaughtered, so he threw it away as well.
