Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that one of the Companions passed by a mountain valley in which there was a spring of fresh water, and its fragrance and beauty pleased him. He said: If only I withdrew from the people and settled here! But first I will consult the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). When he mentioned this to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), he (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade him from doing so and said: "Striving in the path of Allah is better than sixty years of worship at home. Do you not love that Allah should forgive your sins and admit you into Paradise? Strive in the path of Allah; whoever fights in the path of Allah for as long as it takes to milk a she-camel, Paradise becomes obligatory for him."
