أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الرُّوذْبَارِيُّ، أنبأ أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، ثنا هَارُونُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ بَكَّارِ بْنِ بِلَالٍ، أنبأ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِيسَى بْنِ سُمَيْعٍ، ثنا زَيْدُ بْنُ وَاقِدٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ مُعَاذٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: " مَنْ عَقَدَ الْجِزْيَةَ فِي عُنُقِهِ فَقَدْ بَرِئَ مِمَّا عَلَيْهِ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ".
Abu Abdullah narrates from Sayyiduna Mu'adh (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: "Whoever ties the jizyah around his neck has become free of the way upon which the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was."
