Sayyiduna Walid bin Uqbah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) conquered Makkah, the people of Makkah began bringing their children to him; he would pass his hand over their heads and supplicate for them. I was brought too, and saffron perfume had been applied to my head. When he (peace and blessings be upon him) saw me, he did not touch me. He (peace and blessings be upon him) did not lay a hand on me because of the saffron perfume that my mother had applied to me.
