Yahya bin Rashid al-Dimashqi said: Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) came and sat with us. We were silent, so he (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: Why are you silent? Why do you not speak? Why do you not say 'Subhan Allahi wa bihamdihi' (Glory be to Allah and praise be to Him)? One of them equals ten, ten equal a hundred, and a hundred equal a thousand, and the more you recite, the more Allah will increase it. I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whoever's intercession stands in the way of one of the hudud of Allah has opposed Allah in His command. Whoever dies while in debt, it will not be repaid with dinars and dirhams, but with good deeds and bad deeds. Whoever disputes in support of falsehood, knowing it, remains under Allah's displeasure until he desists. And whoever says about a believer what is not true, Allah will put him in the mire of Hell until he comes out of what he said."
