وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُحَمَّدِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، أنبأ أَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ الْأَعْرَابِيِّ، ثنا الزَّعْفَرَانِيُّ، ثنا عَفَّانُ، ثنا هَمَّامٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، قَالَ: فَحَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ سِيرِينَ، " أَنَّ هَذَا قَبْلَ أَنْ تَنْزِلَ الْحُدُودُ، يَعْنِي مَا فَعَلَ بِالْعُرَنِيِّينَ ".
Ibn Sirin (may Allah have mercy on him) said: This was before the hudud (prescribed punishments) were revealed, meaning what was done to the people of Urayna.
