أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو حَازِمٍ الْحَافِظُ، وَأَبُو نَصْرِ بْنُ قَتَادَةَ، قَالَا: أنبأ أَبُو الْفَضْلِ بْنُ خَمِيرَوَيْهِ، أنبأ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ نَجْدَةَ، ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، ثنا هُشَيْمٌ، ثنا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ عُتَيْبَةَ، عَنْ ⦗٤٨٠⦘ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي كَبْشَةَ الْأَنْمَارِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ، " أَنَّهُ أُتِيَ بِجَارِيَةٍ سَوْدَاءَ سَرَقَتْ، فَقَالَ لَهَا: سَرَقْتِ؟ قُولِي: لَا، فَقَالَتْ: لَا، فَخَلَّى عَنْهَا ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu al-Darda (may Allah be pleased with him) that a black slave girl who had stolen was brought to him. He said to her: Did you steal? Say: No. She said: No. So he let her go.
