أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أنبأ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْقَاضِي، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ، ثنا آدَمُ بْنُ أَبِي إِيَاسٍ، ثنا وَرْقَاءُ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، فِي قَوْلِهِ: " {وَاللَّاتِي يَأْتِينَ الْفَاحِشَةَ مِنْ نِسَائِكُمْ} [النساء: ١٥]، يَعْنِي الزِّنَا، وَفِي قَوْلِهِ: {فَآذُوهُمَا} [النساء: ١٦] يَعْنِي سَبًّا، ثُمَّ نَسَخَهَا {الزَّانِيَةُ وَالزَّانِي فَاجْلِدُوا كُلَّ وَاحِدٍ مِنْهُمَا مِائَةَ جَلْدَةٍ}، وَفِي قَوْلِهِ: {أَوْ يَجْعَلَ اللهُ لَهُنَّ سَبِيلًا} [النساء: ١٥]، قَالَ: السَّبِيلُ الْحَدُّ ".
Mujahid (may Allah have mercy on him) said concerning the words of Allah Almighty, "And those of your women who commit immorality" [Surah al-Nisa: 15]: That is, fornication; and "harm them both" means by reviling them. Then they were abrogated by "The fornicatress and the fornicator, flog each one of them with a hundred lashes" [Surah al-Nur: 2]. And in the words of Allah, "or Allah makes for them a way" [Surah al-Nisa: 15], "a way" means the prescribed punishment (hadd).
