وَبِإِسْنَادِهِ قَالَ: ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ عَنْ بِشْرِ بْنِ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ: " تَنْتَظِرُ - يَعْنِي النُّفَسَاءَ - سَبْعًا فَإِنْ طَهُرَتْ وَإِلَّا فَأَرْبَعَةَ عَشَرَ فَإِنْ طَهُرَتْ وَإِلَّا فَوَاحِدَةً وَعِشْرِينَ فَإِنْ طَهُرَتْ وَإِلَّا فَأَرْبَعِينَ ثُمَّ تُصَلِّي " وَقَدْ رُوِيَ فِيهَا عَنْ عُمَرَ وَأَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ.
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: Women in nifas will wait seven (days); if they become pure, well and good; otherwise fourteen (days); if they become pure, well and good; otherwise twenty-one (days); if they become pure, well and good; otherwise forty (days she will wait), then she will pray.
