It is narrated from al-Zuhri (may Allah have mercy on him) that he said: Abdullah bin Abi Bakr informed us that Urwah bin al-Zubayr (may Allah have mercy on him) informed him that Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her), the wife of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), said: A woman came to me with her two daughters, asking me (for something). She found nothing with me except a single date, so I gave it to her. She took the date, split it between her two daughters and ate none of it herself; then she got up and left, she and her daughters. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came in to me, and I told him what had happened. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever is tested with anything of daughters and treats them well, they will be a shield for him from the Fire." Al-Bukhari narrated it in the Sahih from Abu al-Yaman, and Muslim narrated it from Abdullah bin Abd al-Rahman and Abu Bakr bin Ishaq, from Abu al-Yaman.
