قَالَ: وَحَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ، نا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ، وَسَعِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ قَبِيصَةَ بْنِ ذُؤَيْبٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: " عِدَّةُ أُمِّ الْوَلَدِ عِدَّةُ الْحُرَّةِ ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Amr bin al-As (may Allah be pleased with him) that the 'iddah of an umm walad is the 'iddah of a free woman, that is, four months and ten days.
