Bayhaqi 15505 — The residence of a widow

قَالَ: وَنا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: " لَا تَبِيتُ الْمُتَوَفَّى عَنْهَا زَوْجُهَا، وَلَا الْمَبْتُوتَةُ إِلَّا فِي بَيْتِهَا "، وَاللهُ أَعْلَمُ.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that: "A woman whose husband has died, and a woman who has been given an irrevocable divorce (talaq battah), should not spend the night anywhere except in her own house." And Allah knows best.
