أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الرُّوذْبَارِيُّ، أنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ دَاسَةَ، نا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، نا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ، نا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُسَيْنٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ النَّحْوِيِّ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا فِي قَوْلِهِ تَعَالَى: {وَالْمُطَلَّقَاتُ يَتَرَبَّصْنَ بِأَنْفُسِهِنَّ ثَلَاثَةَ قُرُوءٍ} [البقرة: ٢٢٨] قَالَ: {وَاللَّائِي يَئِسْنَ} [الطلاق: ٤] مِنَ الْمَحِيضِ مِنْ نِسَائِكُمْ إِنِ ارْتَبْتُمْ فَعِدَّتُهُنَّ ثَلَاثَةُ أَشْهُرٍ وَاللَّائِي لَمْ يَحِضْنَ فَنَسَخَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ وَقَالَ: {وَإِنْ طَلَّقْتُمُوهُنَّ مِنْ قَبْلِ أَنْ تَمَسُّوهُنَّ} [البقرة: ٢٣٧] {فَمَا لَكُمْ عَلَيْهِنَّ مِنْ عِدَّةٍ} [الأحزاب: ٤٩] تَعْتَدُّونَهَا ".
It is narrated from Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) concerning the saying of Allah Almighty: "And divorced women shall wait (concerning) themselves for three menstrual periods" [Surah al-Baqarah: 228], and: "And those who have despaired of menstruation among your women, if you are in doubt, their waiting period is three months, and (also for) those who have not menstruated" [Surah al-Talaq: 4]: then (part) of that was abrogated, and He said: "When you marry believing women and then divorce them before you have touched them, then there is no waiting period for you to count concerning them" [Surah al-Ahzab: 49].
