Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said that a Bedouin man came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! In the narration of Imam al-Shafi'i: A Bedouin man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: My wife has given birth to a black child. He (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "Do you have camels?" He said: Yes. He (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "What is their colour?" He said: Red. He asked: "Are there any ash-grey ones among them?" He said: Yes. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Where do you think those came from?" He said: Perhaps some strain (in their lineage) drew it out. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Perhaps some strain has drawn this one out as well."
