Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) says that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said concerning the two who performed li'an: "Your reckoning is with Allah; one of you is a liar. You have no claim over the wife." He said: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! My wealth, my wealth. He said: "If you are truthful, the wealth is gone in exchange for her private part having been made lawful for you. And if you have lied, then that is even further from you."
(b) Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Two who perform li'an, once separated, can never come together again."
