Amr bin Shu'ayb narrates from his father, and he from his grandfather, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) sent Attab bin Asid; and he mentioned a similar hadith.
Ali (al-Daraqutni) (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Hammad bin Amr, Imad bin Matar and Zayd bin Rufay' are da'if (weak); and we have narrated this about Hammad bin Amr from Yahya bin Ma'in and al-Bukhari. Al-Daraqutni said: It has been narrated from Ibn Jurayj and al-Awza'i, who are both imams, from Amr bin Shu'ayb, from his father, from his grandfather, as his own statement; they did not raise it to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
