أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو حَامِدٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَحْمَدَ الرَّازِيُّ الْحَافِظُ أنا أَبُو عَلِيٍّ زَاهِرُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ نا أَبُو بَكْرٍ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ، نا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مَرْزُوقٍ، نا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ، نا هِشَامٌ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي نُفَيْعٌ أَنَّهُ كَانَ مَمْلُوكًا وَكَانَتْ عِنْدَهُ حُرَّةٌ فَطَلَّقَهَا تَطْلِيقَتَيْنِ فَسَأَلَ عُثْمَانَ وَزَيْدَ بْنَ ثَابِتٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا فَقَالَا: " طَلَاقُكَ طَلَاقُ عَبْدٍ وَعِدَّتُهَا عِدَّةُ حُرَّةٍ ".
Abu Salamah narrates from Nufay' (may Allah have mercy on him), who was a slave and had a free woman as his wife. He gave her two divorces, and he asked Sayyiduna Uthman and Sayyiduna Zayd (may Allah be pleased with them both). They both said: Your divorce is the divorce of a slave, and her iddah is the iddah of a free woman.
